In 1999, desperate to part with two synced-up VCR's, I bought a bunch of computer parts and built my first video editing system. I became a sedentary human being, singularly focused on learning everything I could about digital video editing and motion graphic design. Over the years, I have acquired a multitude of digital multimedia skills beyond video editing. Other experience includes website design and Photoshop expertise. Read some testimonials about Mo Fine.

Currently, I'm involved in all kinds of video projects, from businesses looking to increase their web presence, to helping artists gain skills in digital media. I am also an independent filmmaker. The trailer for our latest short film, The Furry, can be watched here. The Furry is a metamorphosis-themed flick about a guy stuck in a rut who transforms into a shag rug.

Weaned on a steady diet of Pop Rocks, Red Vines and Gilligan's Island, Chris escaped his hometown of Wenatchee to land in the underbelly of Seattle's late 80's punk rock scene, posing by day as a mild-mannered student at the University of Washington. After dabbling as a DJ, bartender, drummer, and biologist, Chris has spent the last ten years in the rapidly changing world of film and video production and post-production.

His journey into non-linear editing began on Media 100, took him to Avid for several years and now most of his time is spent in the Final Cut Studio suite of apps, in addition to frequent roundtrips to Photoshop and After Effects, working for clients including: Starbucks, Princess Cruises, the Museum of Flight and many more.

His goal with these workshops is to really help students get organized and cut through a lot of the workflow difficulties that he's seen restrict and limit creativity. Chris is also halfway through his plan of watching every Japanese film ever made.
